Suffering and struggles are chemical additions as strong as addictions to alcohol, nicotine and drug.
No, I’m not kidding! The only difference is that these addictions are created by internal emotions states, rather than external substances introduced to the body.
Think!
Do I have a pattern in my life of struggle and suffering?
Do I go from one issue to another with little respite between?
If you answered yes to these two – I’ve got news for you:-
You’ve got an emotional addiction…
You ask how can I have become addicted to suffering and struggle? These life conditions are states of being, running a cluster of negative emotions including worry, fear, anger, pain, depression, low self-esteem and victimhood.
It seems we don’t even realise we have these patterns running us on a daily basis and we attract exactly what we are asking for, be it consciously or unconsciously.
I know scary right, so how does it start. Generally our patterns are formed from a young age from when we are in a mother’s womb to about age 7. And of course we pick some new ones up on the way.
So you ask how do I get rid of it well there are many steps and different techniques that can be used to unravel this web and get you on the path to happiness, minimal drama and no more struggling.
What can you do?
You can start by noticing your thoughts as what you are thinking could be a having a huge impact on your life. Ask these 3 questions:-
Do I wake up saying I’m in pain?
Do I say I’m never going to improve?
Do I think to myself this is my life?
Next time you wake up in the morning and say oh I’m in pain please be mindful and try and start your day with something positive. If you are seriously wanting to get rid of these beliefs I can show you how, for further info click here.
