How to Deal with the Corona Virus Crisis

Present times are very difficult for a lot of people, fear and anxiety about the future, both near and far are causing these times to be even more difficult.

I get it, the future is unsure, but it always was anyway, you can get this disease, but you could get lots of others as well. The financial prospects are getting more difficult and challenging for many of us, especially the entrepreneurs that depend on people visiting their businesses, like bars, restaurants, cinemas, etc., but it was also common knowledge that we were heading for another financial crisis, so that would have been challenging in any case.
This has just sped it up and made it more wide spread than was expected and it really is affecting everybody close at home.
If you are not caught by the disease, you will have been told to stay home, without income, or in more favourable cases, with a reduced income.

I can imagine you are worrying yourself sick, probably even literally. Have immense anxiety and do not know what to do.
Tell me; does all this worrying help? At all? I know you are going over the worst case scenarios all the time in your mind and that brings you only even more anxiety.

If you would like to get a little peace in your head, please try this: take a little time to imagine the very worst that can happen and write that down, and then think of all the things you could do to help this situation and improve on things. Take your time for that and when you are done, it is done and you can let go of that. It is all written down and you do not have to think about it any more because you have your plans ready.
Now, also think about the best case scenario, think of all the good things that could come from this, all the good things you want to happen now and think about ways that you can prepare for that right now.
For instance: in your worst case scenario, the company you work for goes bankrupt and you are left without a job. But hey, you know that that will happen to a lot of companies, and that in the mean time a lot of new companies and businesses will be built, because the work still needs to be done. With all your knowledge and experience it is very likely that you will be very valuable to at least one of those new businesses and you could apply for a job with them. You could even apply for a better position. It might be that you need some extra education for that and there is no better time than right now to take that on-line course that you need for that. Turn something bad into something good.

This is also a good time to read that book, you always wanted to read, but never had time for, or watch that film, or talk to that friend that you have gone out of touch with. Just pick up the phone and have long conversation with them. You have the time now.
Or you can think about all those little things that need to be done in and around the house. Now is the time to do them.

It is also a good time to start talking again with the members of your family that live in your house, those people for whom you did not have time to talk to. Now is a good time to do so, put away your phones for a while and reconnect with them, you might be surprised, it could actually be very nice.

And when you do get sick, just allow it to be, sleep, sleep and sleep.Take your time to heal the natural way, you have the time now, so take it and do not try to rush through this process. When you are a normally healthy person, as are the most of us, you have nothing to worry about, if you just allow it and take the rest you need right now.

We have all been so stressed for so long now, we should embrace this quiet time to relax and regenerate in every way possible. If you still can, get some fresh air, move a bit around; I have started to do my Qi-gong exercises in my garden, certainly if the weather is nice and pleasant enough for that. This grounds me and makes me feel more in the here and now, and that takes away lots of the anxiety.

And please, if you can, stop watching the news all the time, believe me, if there is anything you need to know it will come to you. The news is all negative and brings nothing but fear and anxiety. The statistics they bring are not based on truth. Think about this: they say there are a certain number of people that are infected and there is a percentage of them that have died. But the percentage of people that did not die is much higher, because they only have the official tested and reported cases of the infected, in truth there are probably 6 times more people infected, without serious symptoms that did not and will not die. They have not taken them into account when they present you these numbers. This means that the odds of surviving are much, much higher than they want you to believe.
Please, do not just believe what I say, investigate for yourself, this information is on the internet, but not presented by the media.

And last but not least, get in contact with people in your community, even when over the phone or on-line, check in with the people in your environment that are more vulnerable and offer them your help, staying positive, with love in your heart will build your immune system and that keeps the virus at bay. Take care of yourself and your own direct environment, we will get through this together.
